Low Frequency Off Grid inverters have robust transformers inside and handle inductive loads and inrush currents easier.

Grid Tie inverters synchronise to the Grid and can feed in generated power from the DC sources, giving the most flexible self consumption options (if you are able to feed into the Grid with your DNO)
